Acromioplasty

Acromioplasty is the surgical widening of the constricted space under the acromion in order to create sufficient space for the tendons of the rotator cuff. Acromioplasty is performed arthroscopically using a reamer.

Postoperatively, the shoulder is moved passively for 2 weeks, then actively.
