Diagnoses

At the practice of Dr. med. Rolf Krebs and colleagues, we provide comprehensive diagnostics and treatment. Here you will find an overview of the diagnoses treated in our practice.

Shoulder joint

The shoulder joint is one of the most mobile joints in the body, but also one of the most vulnerable. Precise diagnostics are the basis of any therapy. In addition to a special examination of the shoulder, usually using X-rays, ultrasound and NMR (magnetic resonance imaging), a holistic examination is often useful, as postural problems can lead to shoulder problems, as can congenital changes, osteoarthritis, tendon tears or calcification of the tendons.

Hip joint

The hip joint is less susceptible to injury due to its protected position deep in the pelvis. Nevertheless, wear-related changes in particular often lead to problems. In many cases, however, supposed hip pain is also caused by tendon irritation due to pelvic misalignment, incorrect loading or irritation of the sacroiliac joint (SIJ blockages). In addition to a detailed examination of the hip joint, the corresponding imaging procedures such as X-rays and NMR (magnetic resonance imaging), a precise holistic orthopaedic examination including an examination of the statics, muscular imbalances, back and leg length is required.

Ankle joints / foot

We differentiate between the upper and lower ankle joint. While the upper ankle joint is crucial for the hinge movements and therefore the rolling of the foot, we move the foot inwards and outwards (turning movements) in the lower ankle joint.

Hand / wrist / elbow joint

The complexity of the hand allows us to perform an enormous variety of functions. It is precisely because of this complexity that a very precise manual, sonographic, radiological and, if necessary, magnetic resonance imaging examination of the individual joints, tendons and functions is required in order to find the best individual treatment option.

Spine

The complexity of the hand allows us to perform an enormous variety of functions. It is precisely because of this complexity that a very precise manual, sonographic, radiological and, if necessary, magnetic resonance imaging examination of the individual joints, tendons and functions is required in order to find the best individual treatment option.

Dr. med. Rolf Krebs

Joint diseases, sports injuries, surgical rheumatism therapy and conservative spinal therapy are the focus of the practice.

We attach great importance to precise and comprehensive diagnostics and customized treatment with detailed consideration of the advantages and disadvantages of possible conservative or surgical therapy. We offer complete diagnostics and treatment from a single source. All conservative measures and post-operative treatment are closely coordinated with the therapists in our own practice.

Our aim is to provide the best possible personal and professional care.

Surgical treatment

If a good long-term result and the best possible quality of life cannot be achieved through conservative measures, we try to explain the chances and risks of a possible operation to the patient in great detail. Our many years of extensive experience in the surgical field not only provide the necessary certainty when deciding on the indication for surgery, but also the chance of the best possible result.

Regenerative medicine

Physiotherapy helps with post-operative treatment and restores harmonious movement when functional movement sequences are disrupted. It strengthens muscles, improves joint mobility, relieves tension and trains coordination. Our concept is based on short distances and constant communication between therapist and doctor. This is guaranteed by the shared premises in the practice. Particularly after operations, the follow-up treatment can be constantly adapted to individual needs and, in many cases, lead to more effective and faster success.

Special therapies

Regenerative medicine, including cartilage reconstruction with stem cell therapy, bioprostheses as an alternative to knee prostheses and PRP treatment are important achievements in the treatment of osteoarthritis in recent years. Dr. Krebs is considered one of the most experienced orthopaedic surgeons in this field. Dr. Sohler is our specialist for all special minimally invasive spinal therapies. For many years, he has focused on facet infiltrations, facet denervation, PRT (periradicular therapy) and intraspinal injections and has made a name for himself in this field beyond the region.
