Ankle fractures

Minimally invasive screw fixation is possible if the fracture is slightly displaced on the inner ankle, and in some cases also on the outer ankle. The fracture is fixed via a mini-incision under fluoroscopic control and a cannulated screw is inserted via the wire guide. For more complex fractures, an open reduction and usually plate osteosynthesis is performed.
