Notchplasty and removal of a hydrops for anterior impingement

Bone growths in osteoarthritis or after cruciate ligament plastic surgery can lead to anterior impingement and hydrops. Tendon parts and inflamed mucous membrane become trapped in the area of the notch. The hydrops (plug of mucous membrane) is removed arthroscopically and the area of the notch is widened using a burr.
