Rhizarthrosis ( thumb saddle joint arthrosis ) usually occurs as part of a genetically determined polyarthrosis, but can also occur individually.

Occupational therapy, hyaluronic acid injections. In advanced cases, we prefer the implantation of a thumb saddle joint prosthesis to resection arthroplasty.
