Wrist fracture

Pain, swelling, bruising, restricted movement in the wrist, visible deformity (Bayonet deformity, Fourchette deformity).

Direct trauma, fall on the hand. Often wrist fracture loco typico.

Depending on the type of fracture, joint involvement and degree of deformity, decision on conservative treatment with immobilization or surgery. In surgery today, mostly flexion-side incision and stable-angle plate osteosynthesis.
