ESWT (extracorporeal shock wave therapy)

ESWT (extracorporeal shock wave therapy). We differentiate between radial and focused shock waves. The radial shock wave has a low penetration depth and is therefore suitable for treating muscular tension. The focused shock wave has a short pulse wavelength of a few nanoseconds and therefore achieves an optimal depth effect. The high energy of the pulses can be used to treat kidney or gallstones, as well as calcium deposits that cause pain in the shoulder, elbow or heel spur. The impulse also leads to a local release of the body's own anti-inflammatory substances.

Indications:

Calcification of the shoulder tendons (tendinosis calcarea), tendon irritation of the hip joint, Achilles tendon irritation

Heel spur, epicondylitis
