Arthroscopic calcium removal

Chronically inflamed, painful and troublesome calcium deposits in the shoulder area can be easily removed arthroscopically. The inflamed bursa is removed arthroscopically. The calcium deposit is punctured with a needle. If the tip of the needle is white, i.e. full of calcium, as shown in the picture, the calcium deposit can be removed with the tip of a knife and suctioned out.
