The labrum is a cartilaginous ring around the shoulder socket. In the event of traumatic tearing of the labrum or genetically inadequate positioning of the labrum, it is refixed arthroscopically ( suturing of the labrum, refixation of the labrum ). In cases of pronounced instability, an additional arthroscopic capsular tightening ( shoulder joint stabilization ) is performed. Postoperative 4 weeks wearing of a shoulder orthosis and 4 weeks passive exercise. Active exercise of the shoulder joint is only possible after 4 weeks.
